Blogger Prompt - Week 7, Term 1, 2018 


NZ Census


Roll call! This year is a Census year. A census is a big question form that gathers lots of information about all the people in New Zealand. The census only happens every 5 years. It is a snapshot of the New Zealand population on one night every five years and is compulsory to complete.

Here are the questions for this week:

Q1: What is your favourite subject at school and why?
PE because it is a chance to go out and get some fresh air after we have been trapped in class all day!

Q2: Do you have any pets? What are they and what are their names? If you don't have a pet what pet would you have if you did?
I have two Guinea Pigs George and Zoe and I have a black lab called Meg.




Q3: What are some of your favourite foods?
My favourite food is Sushi.


Q4: What is your favourite sport? What do you like about it?
I like Netball because I am pretty good at it and I play on a Saturday.


Q5: What is your favourite hobby?
I play Violin and I love to care for animals.



Q6: Who do you live with?
I live with my Mum and my dad

Q7: What is your ethnicity?
I am from Christchurch


Q8: The Census video talks about finding out if there are enough parks. Do you have a park in your suburb? Do you think your suburb needs a park or a better park? What would make it better?
I have one across the road from my house and it is OK.




Q9: Why do you think the government does a Census every 5 years?
To see if the residents of Christchurch are happy with the city and to see what they can improve.
